This redesign reinterprets Lord of the Flies through a combination of hand-drawn illustrations and carefully selected typography. The central image of a boar’s head, drawn from scratch using Procreate, directly references the novel’s pivotal scene and embodies the savage nature of the story. Hand-drawn text evokes the roughness of the wilderness and mimics a child’s handwriting, while a clean sans-serif typeface ensures legibility for the remaining text. The black-and-white color palette adds to the stark, raw atmosphere. The title page and chapter pages feature a typewriter-style font and an original conch shell illustration, unifying the design across the book. This project blends traditional illustration with modern design elements to visually represent the book’s themes.
