This redesign reinterprets How to be Human through a blend of traditional handmade illustrations and contemporary design elements. The central imagery features a skull surrounded by flowers, accented by a crown and hearts which mimic linocut printmaking. These traditional elements symbolize the raw, tangible experience of being human, particularly the act of mark making, which forms a connection between the artwork and the album’s themes. The cover prominently features the band’s name in a groovy, wavy font that spills across the back of the vinyl, creating a fluid and abstract multicolored design that ties the front and back together. Inside, hand-drawn flowers complement the design, and the lyrics for each song are professionally laid out in clean, legible typography. This project seamlessly blends handcraft and modern design to create a visually striking, cohesive album experience.
